Strengthening China–Denmark Friendship and Exploring New Opportunities for Cooperation
On 28 June 2026, a government delegation from Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, visited Denmark and held an exchange meeting with the Danish Chinese Cultural Exchange Association. The discussions focused on strengthening China–Denmark people-to-people friendship and exploring opportunities for cooperation in trade, culture, education, and green development.
The meeting was held at Valby Kulturhus in Copenhagen and was attended by representatives of the Danish Chinese Cultural Exchange Association, Copenhagen Huawen Association, the Copenhagen Chinese Business Association, and the Danish China Peaceful Reunification Association, together with members of the local Chinese community.
During the meeting, Ms. Lihua Li, Chiarman of the Danish Chinese Cultural Exchange Association, introduced the Association’s development and its work in promoting cultural exchange, educational cooperation, business engagement, and people-to-people relations between China and Denmark. She noted that the Association has consistently used culture as a bridge for friendship and cooperation. Through its signature dragon and lion dance performances, traditional Chinese cultural exhibitions, and participation in major events such as the Chinese New Year Reception hosted by the Embassy of China in Denmark and the Copenhagen Dragon Boat Festival, the Association has actively promoted Chinese culture within Danish society and contributed to strengthening mutual understanding between the two countries.
